JUNE KEY POINTS
VALUE OF WORK DONE, CHAIN VOLUME MEASURES
TOTAL
- The trend estimate for the value of total engineering construction work done rose by 2.1% in the June 2008 quarter.
- The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of total engineering construction work done fell 4.5%, to $13,494.7m, in the June quarter.
PRIVATE SECTOR
- The trend estimate for the value of work done for the private sector rose by 2.1% in the June quarter.
- The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of work done for the private sector fell 1.5% in the June quarter to $8,594.3m.
PUBLIC SECTOR
- The trend estimate for the value of work done for the public sector rose by 1.6% in the June quarter.
- The seasonally adjusted estimate for the value of work done for the public sector fell 9.3%, to $4,900.4m, in the June quarter.
VALUE OF WORK COMMENCED
- The value of work commenced in the June quarter was $18,145.2m, a fall of 4.9% from the March 2008 quarter.
